With the Master of Arts degree in International Marketing, which is taught in English, FOM offers BA graduates from various universities in China the chance to specialise in a subject. The course is taken in China and Germany.

In the Master of Arts degree in Accounting & Financial Management, the Chinese students deepen their knowledge of Accounting and Financing. Students learn to comprehensively understand and strategically control financing and accounting. International developments in accounting standards and capital markets are included in the course and, together with social and methodical skills, provide students with an excellent grounding for their career.

With the focus on key aspects of accounting such as International Accounting, Consolidated Accounts, Balance Sheet Analysis and Accounting Policy as well as empirical accounting and thanks to the combination with modules from Financial Management such as Corporate Finance and Asset Management, all relevant areas are covered. The teaching language is English. Combined with the intercultural experience gained during the stay in Germany, the MA course also prepares graduates for professional activity in Germany.

You will complete your master studies in Accounting & Financial Management with the academic degree of Master of Arts (M.A.).

Accreditation (Master)

The FOM University of Applied Sciences is accredited by the German Council for Science and Humanities for its special service to education and research and was the first private university in Germany to receive system-accreditation by the FIBAA in 2012. This seal of approval proves that the quality management of the FOM University meets the high standards of the Accreditation Council, the most important body for the quality of studies and education at German universities. In 2018 the FOM University received system-accreditation for further eight years. Thus, all courses of study offered by the FOM are accredited. A Master’s degree from the FOM University enables entry to a subsequent a PhD programme.

What you need for admission

  • First academic degree or foreign equivalent
  • A bachelor’s degree that includes economics modules worth a minimum of 60 credit points or
  • Passing a written entrance examination that covers the required subject-specific topics
  • English language proficiency B2 or above
